Your route file
Getting your race out of your watch
A GPX file is just your recorded track. Here's how to get one from the usual places — and what to do if you can't.
Do I even need one?
For races in our catalogue we already have the verified course, so no — but your own file still makes the poster more yours: your actual swim line (no two swims are alike), and the exact course from your year, since courses change from season to season. For races we haven't mapped yet, the GPX is how we build them. Buying as a gift? The catalogue course is exactly what you need; stats can be added later at the proof stage.
Strava
Open the activity on the website → the ⋯ menu ("Actions") → Export GPX. On a triathlon recorded as three activities, export all three — you can upload any of them at order and mention the rest; we'll ask for the others by email if needed.
Garmin Connect
Open the activity on connect.garmin.com → the gear icon → Export to GPX. Multisport activities export as one file with all legs — perfect for us.
Wahoo
The Wahoo app shares workouts as .fit files. Easiest route: link Wahoo to Strava (most people already have) and export GPX from Strava as above. A .fit file is fine too — upload it and we'll convert it.
Apple Watch
The Workout app doesn't export GPX directly. If your workouts sync to Strava, export from there. Otherwise a small app like HealthFit or RunGap exports any workout as GPX.
Coros / Suunto / Polar
All three export GPX from their web platforms (activity page → export), and all three can sync to Strava.
No file at all?
It happens — dead battery, borrowed watch, a race from years ago. If the organiser publishes the official course we can usually build from that. Email us with the race name and year before ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether we can do it.
About accuracy
GPS drifts: swims wander, tunnels cut corners, and watch distances often disagree with the official course — sometimes by a lot. That's normal, and it's exactly why a human builds your poster. We check your track against the real venue and use official distances where they're the truth. If your watch said 41 km and the bike was 40, tell us in the order form — the poster shows your race, not your GPS noise.
